teacake - // But not ever seen regarding Blair. // I for one have been a vociferous critic of the war-monger for decades, and lose no opportunity to say so whenever his name is mentioned on here, and I am far from the only one. I would respect him a lot more if he had the dignity to be ashamed of his actions, and keep quiet, but he still pops up with his perma-tanned...
No more than slimy Boris / Hancock and a few others, besides you seem to have a bad memory. Saddam Hussein tried to control the worlds oil fields by invading Kuwait and blowing up 700 wells there.
That was then, this is now.
I agree totally with Blair.
The exit is a total diplomatic and humanitarian shambles.
The invading forces should have been prepared to stay for as long as it took.......forever if necessary.

As long as what took, sqad?
Biden was correct in continuing with Trump's decision to pull out. There is no reason why Western troops should do the job which the Afghan people won't do for themselves, and it is more than clear than they won't do it. But the withdrawal is a complete shambles. All civilian personnel should have been repatriated and the troops withdrawn last of all. Never mind, it shouldn't take those "displaced" too long to make their way to Calais.
My memory is that Saddam Hussein wanted and tried to control the flow, and dictate the price of oil, so he invaded Kuwait, hence he started a war, not only with Kuwait, but with the rest of the world, because no world leaders are going to accept that. Whoever dominates oil dominates the world. So like him or not Blair had no choice but to stop him. To conclude Saddam started it, Blair finished it, If he hadn't have done planes wouldn't have been able fly people on holiday.
well he is Tory Lite mozz, what's your point? Oh you think every Tory agrees with every other Tory and that I agree with everything every Tory ever has ever done! I see!
As long at takes to convince all parties that 5he Taliban are a spent force and that, 5he presiding Afghan army can be considered to maintain order......years, decades or centuries if necessary.
TTT yes, when you join the Armed Forces it may well be dangerous, lives may be lost and bodies disfigured, it is the name of the game in an attempt at world stability.
