Not here, many on here have been aware of it. In the late 1990s I was a lone voice yelling about the change in pupil attitudes and equating it with the recent arrival of young, Saudi imams in the local mosques. I even wrote a long letter to the Mail on Sunday about it (they'd run a report on Bradford) which was published - but they missed that bit out. It was obviously too politically sensitive.
To answer the O.P.. No, I do not believe they have changed and fear that they have spawned an even more narrow and extremist movement. There is a name for it, but I can't remember it, sorry.
