Assuming Emma and Leylah play anything close to how they have through this fortnight, this could be a classic! Not to be missed.

You're welcome! I should say that all those here who take up the chance, presumably supporting our own Emma -- please don't forget that whatever happens today she's achieved something remarkable and unprecedented already!
The reason I'm saying this is that honestly, despite supporting Emma, I'm struggling to see how anybody beats Leylah Fernandez either, or would even *want* to see her lose. It's the cruellest of necessities that sport has to have a winner and a loser in matches like this.

She's seemed fine so far. For the time being, at least, probably not even aware of it, or least not the extent of the hype surrounding her!
Regardless of the result, it's been a phenomenal run. What I'm really interested in is how Emma, and Leylah for that matter, build on this for the future. For example, they'll both be likely seeded for the next Slam, and there's a big tournament in Indian Wells next month that similarly affords an opportunity to both to make a statement that this wasn't a fluke.

Yes Jim, they are both extraordinarily good players. That one has to lose feels cruel, but as long as each aquits herself well. Whatever happens Emma R. will become the British No.1. It will take some nerve to watch the match, but we are so glad to have the chance - and it's wonderful that the fee will go back into tennis. Well done Prime! (Even if I spend ages trying not to contribute to your coffers.)
