Didn't somebody once say something about not making a drama out of a crisis? It's some fly-by-night sorts who thought they could speculate and accumulate, nobody's stealing anything and we all still have power.

\\Now you are joking Webbo :0))))//

worth a try :-)
How come people are in credit with their creditors? I pay for what I buy; I don't lend the creditor money! I cannot feel much sympathy for people who are £1000 in credit with a company, all they have to do is ask for it back.
Divegirl, there was I think an article on Martin's money website. Also sky news reported about bulb but not switching.
From what I've heard, if your supplier goes under then wait to see who you are moved to - only then should you see what their new charges may be and think about making a switch.
Can not understand why people who live in the north east of England have to pay more for their electric than the rest of the Country,, there must be a reason?
Not following your line of thought there Gulliver, could you explain.
21.52 Not sure just something I was reading about.
Hard to comment without a source but thanks for replying.
Jackdaw, my energy pays me 3% interest on credit, better than any bank account
As far as I am aware, energy prices are national and do not vary from region to region. It may be that some areas have a higher proportion of users on pre-payment meters than in other areas, which makes energy much more expensive. These areas are likely to be in the more economically deprived regions.
21.59 Perhaps they have to use more electric because some things are a little dimmer in the N/E.
