I walked past the Old Street roundabout earlier today, and the grief these clowns were getting was hilarious - if ever there was a 'cause' that was alienating people, this is it.

I mentioned on another thread that the UK cops always show up in "force" at these demonstrations and then just stand around in groups looking like confused yellow penguins. Why do they even bother showing up?

The police use fuel to reach the protest, add the cost of their time reporters use fuel to observe the protest are the cost of their time, just a guess but that adds up to the equivalent environmental damage of not insulating a fair number of homes, Add the additional fuel cost to everyone stuck in the traffic queues, Wouldn't their time be better spent working on a social media campaign, getting some celebs on board, a few footballers maybe....it's the way you promote change, these dinosaurs are campaigning indirectly for their own extinction.

There seems to be no will at all from the Chief constables of these areas to get this sorted.

One has to wonder if this is political. They don't like Priti and would love to get rid of her. And before the usual clamour that she is useless, no she isn't. She is obstructed at every turn.

I'd hasten to add that the couple of coppers I know (plods) would happily wade in. Its the liberal elite top brass that wont.

Yes you are right. If they are stupid enough to glue themselves they should be left where they are in the middle of the road and direct traffic around them, they will be there a long time which will soon p--- them off.
