Vile woman, can't begin to imagine slapping a horse around the face or kicking it, you don't "reprimand" a horse, you train it and reward and praise it when it does well.

Red, despise was perhaps a strong word, and don't take it personally. But I have to admit, I despise hunting and shooting I doubt we could be friends in real life.
No Dave, horses always kick for a reason - we just may not always know what that reason is.
Question Author
//The Pony Club, which claims to be the world's largest equestrian youth organisation with more than 30,000 UK members, has now axed her as a team manager while condemning her actions as 'unacceptable'. \\

Now let's see the RSPCA prosecute her.
The trouble is if they do prosecute her, it won't be enough - the law really IS an ass where animal cruelty is involved. However, I will be happy to see her prosecuted and hopefully shamed, nasty witch !
I am sorry we couldn’t be friends in real life, I can’t help my upbringing!
Let's drop it Red
We are friends on here and that's what matters. ;O ). My views on foxhunting and shooting have been formed by 40 years in living surrounded by estate land where it's prolific.
Damn savage.........etc!
Obviously, training an animal involves making sure it avoids danger.

In this instance, the woman in question claims to be 'reprimanding' the horse, which is arrant nonsense.

There is only any point in punishing an animal of you can re-enforce the lesson you are teaching, and that relies on the animal being able to make the connection between the punishment and the behaviour.

Obviously that cannot be true in this instance.

The time to discipline the horse was at the time of the danger, not minutes after as was the case here.

All this horse knows is that it is being punished, but it will have no connection as to why.

That's before we get to the appalling cruelty of kicking and slapping the horse.

There are numerous methods of controlling a horse's behaviour, this was neither of them.

This was the cruel and unacceptable cruelty of a bad owner, and the people defending her sound ridiculous.

She is clearly not a good horse woman, nor does she love her animals.

To defend her is to excuse her dreadful behaviour and that is as wrong as her taking out her nasty temper on a dumb animal.

Shame on all concerned.
Agree with that - shame on all concerned.

Sarah Moulds for her disgraceful treatment of that beautiful animal and those sending threats to a family with young children who have fled their home.

Take the correct route to bring someone to book for their actions, don't sink down to keyboard warrior level.

Mamya - maybe she should have thought about her young children before she participated in such a cruel, vile act on an innocent animal !
So the children are scared - tough **** then?
She clearly didn't think before acting and the punishment will come - to her - as it should.
Yes, it's HER fault, she should have thought about her actions !! I bet the poor horse was scared as well ...
Absolutely it would have been.
She probably slaps her kids too! People who are cruel to animals are highly likely to be cruel to their kids as well. And yes, I think that slapping kids is cruel. I wonder if those hids know why they have had to hide away. I'm sorry for the kids but not for their Mum.
I too thought she may be the type of person who slaps her kids.
Hope she loses her job
My mother beat us but would never raise her voice or hands to animals
What upset me also was that the horse didn’t even retaliate - it just let the woman kick it and slap it’s face : (
