Inflation Uk,
Inflation in the UK soars to 4.2% ,the highest in 10 years rising from 3.1%to 4.2% in the last 12 months ....."Brexit"... Putting pressure on BOE to raise interest rates. The cost of Transport, Energy bills, Fuel,
eating and drinking out, cost of goods from factories, raw materials have all increased and inflation could easily hit 5% by next spring. Oh dear looks like no dancing in Boris's Sunlit meadows this spring then.

Gulliver, you are wasting your time. It's been documented that many who voted to 'Leave' have contracted a strange immunity to the truth. I've heard they are developing a vaccine but it could take a few years :-)

The BOE predicted the rise months ago.

Inflation in Spain is 3.3%.
In the UK it is 3.2%.
The bank of England expect it to reach 4% by the end of the year.

// “CPI inflation has risen markedly, to above the monetary policy committee’s target of 2%, and is projected to rise temporarily to 4% in the near term. The rise largely reflects the impact of the pandemic as the economy recovers,” the Bank said in its latest monetary policy report. //

APG: "Gulliver, you are wasting your time. It's been documented that many who voted to 'Leave' have contracted a strange immunity to the truth. Despite hard facts, " - not at all, but what you 5th columnists fail to understand is that we don't care! We wanted our country back, we knew issues would occur. As it happens this is Europe wide issue anyway. We knew the remoaners would go on blaming brexit until the sour grapes ran out but that's not the issue for us. What would have us do? prostrate ourselves at the feet of the mighty EUSSR and beg to rejoin every time there's a ripple?

Since you seem keen to see the truth acknowledged, Auntie, the truth is that EU citizens have never required a visa to remain in the UK, so they could not have run out. Until Brexit they had an unconditional right to live and work here. After Brexit they have had to apply for "settled status" which about six million of them successfully have. Provided they could show that they had already settled here, their permanent status and right to remain was granted. None has been "forced to return home."

Germany wishes it had UK rates of inflation.
To paraphrase the OP

TTT I'm not a 'Remoaner' or 'Remainer'. Its not 'my country' to 'get back'. I'm an 'Impartial Observer' and if things were going tickety boot re: Brexit, then I would be reporting on all the wonderful things Britain can do now they are free of 'Big Brother. As it stands, I have asked on numerous occasions for any Brexiteer to list at least one thing that has got better for Britian since Brexit -so far not one has taken up the challenge. Spouting 'we all know its crap at the moment, but things will get better' does not count ;-)
//You have repeated that mistake before.//
I can only assume, then, that government figures are incorrect. This is a report on the "settled status" scheme up to June (the latest I can find):

“Of the 6.1 million applications recieved, 8% were from repeat applicants (472,220). This indicates that an estimated 5,548,440 people had applied to the scheme up to 30 June 2021,…”
I believe there was a further surge following the deadline being extended by a couple of months and I imagine the total figure is now around six million.
//There are 3.5 million EU citizens in the UK.//
I didn’t mention how many EU citizens are in the UK. This is mainly because neither I nor anybody else knows. Nobody knows how many people from other countries are here. It seems, though, there are at least 5,548,440 as I cannot imagine many EU citizens going through the rigmarole of applying for settled status if they were not living here.

I don't have the (what were always entirely superfluous) words "European Union" embossed on the front cover of my newly acquired United Kingdom passport.
