I'm sure, apg, quite rightly. Yes, constant alert is normal, mine have been around horses, there are always risks. But, how long would you leave a baby around a swimming pool without watching, and why?
Pixie, please don’t insult other people’s intelligence. We all know the baby is the point here but what we also know is that the parents now gave to somehow live for the rest of their lives carrying this dreadful burden of guilt. That’s not something I can ignore or dismiss.
Pixie, you surely don't think so little of me to imagine that I don't care about a baby's life gone forever.
TT

Peter's nephew fell in a pool 40 years ago and to all intents and purposes appeared dead - Peter's brother dived in, pulled him out and revived him.
* Must do eye drops - JJ sorry.
Of course not, mamya. Just, that it was easily avoided, and while I am devastated for the parents, I am furious on the baby's behalf.

It's an accident....its a tragedy.....but it happens.
This is something for the family and close friends to deal with.
Within a month AB will have forgotten the namesake the event.
It reminds me a little of the 2 year old girl, who recently died falling off her pony, while out hunting.
You have to feel for the parents, while also wondering- what on earth were they thinking?
Pixie.....have you had any children?
I have 4, sqad. I'm not a perfect parent, before you say it! Nor expect anyone else to be...
And 2 grandchildren.
How awful. I cannot imagine their pain.

RIP little one.
LOL.OK pixie, you have trumped my ace.
Sorry, you can still make your point if you like, sqad...
My point is....was.....you can't keep your eyes and surroundings on children 24 hours.
Sqad's kids:
Swallowed a firework.....A&E.
Fractured femur..hit by a car...A&E
Fractured nose..hit by Dad fighting...zA&E
Fractured foot. A&E
Baby grabbed bar on electric fire.A&E
Etc etc
Totally agree, sqad. Accidents happen. But a baby that can crawl/walk and an open swimming pool? Wouldn't that be a red flag to anyone?
Swallowed a firework.... lol! That sounds like my eldest :-)
The point sqad is making is that all those he listed had 'red flags' too.
