I don't think anyone doesn't think his comments are anything other than disgusting (something the player himself has stated). What I disagree with is the opinion that this means that Rafiq's claims of institutional racism are somehow offset by these comments. ALL racism should be condemned equally, whether against race or religion.

I totally agree Mozz - two wrongs don’t make a right - but he apologises for his anti-Jew comments, and we’re meant to sweep it under the carpet because the disgusting racism he endured, it seems to me, is considered more important.
I don’t think it is, and thankfully I’m not alone, and I think his Jew-hate is as equally as bad as the racism he endured.

fancy that, lots of evidence from Rafiq and not a peep out of royfromaus. One story about Rafiq and all of a sudden roy's starting a thread. It's almost as if white English racism is only to be expected but from anyone else it's an outrage!
Not that the tweets have anything to do with systemic racism in cricket, but let's just ignore fine details.

I'm not saying he hasn't lost is moral superiority Ynna, but it also doesn't automatically mean that he's lying about the behaviour he suffered. Plenty of others have come out a corroborated his statements. There's definitely a problem in Cricket, but Rafiq should receive the same punishment than anyone else in a similar position.
'Board of Deputies of British Jews president Marie van der Zyl said his apology "seems heartfelt".
She said: "Azeem Rafiq has suffered terribly at the hands of racists in cricket so he will well understand the hurt this exchange will cause to Jews who have supported him.
"His apology certainly seems heartfelt and we have no reason to believe he is not completely sincere."'
