The 5th column tell us every day what a dump this is and how much better the EUSSR is. They are already in Utopia. So why? I don't get it.

Thats a laugh in itself. I have a family of Syrian refugees in one of my rental properties. They are lovely people and keep the house beautifully -but nearly three years on and they still need interpreters. The only one in the family that can speak English is the little girl who is bout 9 years old and she learnt that at school over here.

//I didn't realise (everyone else probably did...) that people can't "apply" to come here from home.//
Yes they can. They can apply for a Visitor Visa, a Student Visa, a Family Visa or a Work Visa. None of these are likely to be granted, however, if you just want to come here and work, cash-no-questions-asked, in a car wash or delivering fast food on a motor scooter. And nor should they be. Those arriving in rubber boats want to circumvent this arrangement by claiming they are in danger or being persecuted. And they are not when they are living in France or any other EU country.
