Is Removing A Poster Or Drawing A Cartoon A Crime Worthy Of Death?
53 Answers
A man removes a poster containing a quote from the Prophet Mohammed. What do you think happened to him when Mohammed's followers found out? This is in 2021. And not a lone 'extremist' or a single 'radicalised' person suffering from mental health issues. This is a mob, incited by, yes, you guessed it...the religion of peace. Can anyone please explain it? https:/ /www.th eguardi an.com/ world/2 021/dec /03/pak istan-s ri-lank an-man- priyant ha-diya wadana- torture d-kille d-alleg ed-blas phemy-s ialkot? archibaldy - // If Pakistan just a country of fundamentalist Mohammed loving nutjobs what was that one doing taking the posters down in the first place? //
By definition, extemists are a minority, so there is no reason to assume that every single member of the population would react in such an extreme fashion.
If as appears, the victim is not a Pakistan national, he was perhaps unaware of the strictness of observations of Islamic law, and the reaxtion likely to be caused by his action.
Clearly if he had been aware, he would not have acted as he did.

Not quite the tone of the OP that view. //
No, it's not, but the psychology of mob behaviour means that a group of people who would not act that way individually, can become taken over by the mob mentality when it flares up.
Albeit not to anything like such an extreme thank heavens, but football hooligans and political protesters have been subject to mob violence many times.
