Downing Street Christmas Party
Cressida Dick has said the Met will investigate any contravention of the rules at this gathering 12 months ago.If someone writes a letter of accusation they will see if there is any evidence to support it.Given her extremely precarious position I think this is very unlikely to uncover anything.

There are lots of offices in 10 Downing Street and loads of people work in them in varying capacities. I know two of them - and they weren't at the party either. I would hope the police have better things to spend their resources on than investigating a group of people who work together having a drink for Christmas. Had it been a cup of tea at 3 in the afternoon it wouldn't have been a problem. Do calm down.
ref. Marr/Raab interview, someone posted on the Express website ;
'Raab didn't say that rules would have been broken. He said that a party would have been 'contrary to guidance'. A guidance is not a rule. A guidance is advisory, optional. Raab is more of a carefully spoken lawyer than Marr anticipated.'
