...ok I get it they are still annoyed about Brexit and twitface etc but why would you punish your own ski resorts etc?

The UK put South Africa on the red list when their daily cases were 1,200. This week, SA cases reached 38,000 and were reward with their removal from the red list.
Is there anything to stop people claiming negative LFT's as positive?
I'm thinking of people who get paid when self isolating and fancy an extended Christmas break.
Presuming LFT's are included in the Gov. figures.
What about claiming positive tests are negative to get that Gov. Covid free status on their phones.

The Omicron variant probably got here because there are no restrictions on travellers from abroad. So the next variant has an open invitation to spread here too.
