I don't think amoral is quite the right term. He, his ministers and senior lackies have shown utter contempt for the electorate since March 2020. They have devised the most severe restrictions on personal liberties this country has seen for probably more than a century. Many of them were based on dubious prophesies and were pointless anyway, but they were imposed with a rigour which went beyond outrageous at times. Yet they themselves have demonstrated that they consider such restrictions do not apply to them. Time and again we have seen examples of breaches, followed by inane and ludicrous defences which simply add to that contempt. It's not what they've done that is the issue; many of the rules that were broken played little part in the fruitless attempts to prevent the spread of a highly transmissible virus. After all, the "garden party" currently under the spotlight was unlikely to influence the spread of the virus one way or the other. But at about the same time, two women were stopped and fined for strolling in the countryside whilst drinking a cup of coffee. It's the sheer hypocrisy that is damaging, not the activity itself.
