There is no accounting for stupidity - I am reminded of the paediatricians attacked because some people mistook that occupation for paedophiles! That said, it's because some people are so stupid and listen to any old lie that someone like the PM has to be careful with his language. There have been enough MPs murdered in the last few years, on both sides.

The mouth-breathers are abroad tonight.
Shame on these idiots.

Also from the link provided :

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has been bundled into the back of a police car after being confronted by protesters shouting "traitor" and "Jimmy Savile" at him.

In video footage posted on social media, the Labour leader was seen walking near to parliament surrounded by police officers while being mobbed by a group.

At one point in the footage, a member of the group surrounding Sir Keir - some of whom were protesting against COVID restrictions - shouted: "Why did you let Jimmy Savile off?"
//"Why did you let Jimmy Savile off?"//

Did he answer?
I'm sure that Johnson will do the decent thing (as did Trump after the Capitol insident) and condemn these people. :-)

I guess you missed this but too then Togo :

Conservative MP Julian Smith, who served as a cabinet minister under Mr Johnson, posted on Twitter: "What happened to Keir Starmer tonight outside parliament is appalling.

"It is really important for our democracy and for his security that the false Savile slurs made against him are withdrawn in full."

Another BOB who can see no wrong in Boris

Shameful

// Shame on these idiots. //

Shame on the chief idiot feeding those idiots…

// Conservative MP Julian Smith tweeted: "What happened to Keir Starmer tonight outside Parliament is appalling. It is really important for our democracy & for his security that the false Savile slurs made against him are withdrawn in full. //
Togo is exhibiting a nasty case of "Selectivus Visioniensis" - common amongst those who believe that stating that something does not exist will magically cause the offending item to become invisible to everyone (rather than to just the chronically deluded).
Ahh "mah jewelly" Julian Smith. Treason May's placeman in the whips office, pulled out and sent to NI as a penance then sacked for incompetence within 7 months by Boris. No agenda there I forecast.

I wonder if anyone will ever be so kind and gracious to Boris in describing him the same ?

The clown is a stain on our parliament and the worst PM the office has ever seen
Question Author
Damn
Link not working now
From the first paragraph of it :

Leo Varadkar, Ireland’s prime minister, called Julian Smith “one of Britain’s finest politicians of our time”, but on Thursday Boris Johnson dismissed him from his post as Northern Ireland secretary.

Only last month Mr Smith was being garlanded as “Minister of the Year” by the Spectator magazine for his role in bringing the Stormont assembly in Belfast back to life after three years in the deep freeze.

Sounds a decent bloke
