The inevitable aftermath of war : the human cost to ordinary civilians
How many could we reasonably take in ?
Where will they be housed or sited ?
The world is not far away from going to Hell in a handcart thanks to a megalomaniac

Been my argument before Bobbisox
Fighting age males prepared to stand and fight for their homeland
That is sadly the price of democracy
Always has been
Lots of brave Ukrainian men are and will be doing the same
Some need to take a leaf out of their book instead of risking life and limb in the channel for the promise of an easy ride in the uk

Also on the News were several different people all saying they felt abandoned by the rest of the world and had sadly realised they were on their own and could not expect help from anywhere. They dismissed the sanctions saying they were too late and nowhere near enough to make a difference. They were collecting money to try and buy weapons to literally fight for their street.
Sad thing is Tiggs, he’s almost threatened to use his nuclear weapons in a chilling speech, to those that use anything against him, I said to Mr B last night Why can’t NATO fly Jets and hit his residence…?
Because he will retaliate with a nuclear strike was the answer , he’s holding the West to ransom

The "plight" of those arriving in rubber dinghies is that they had the misfortune of finding themselves in France. One has little sympathy with that; and positively reject their attempt to illegally enter this country.
I'm sure someone will make a case for taking a portion of genuine refugees in these circumstances, but even then we aren't the nearest safe country, so it'd be help beyond the call of duty, as it were.
As for where to put them, well if we returned to France all those illegal immigrants who came from there, there'd be lots of 4 and 5 star hotels with vacancies.
