Still 10,000 short of the 2010 level of policing. And our population has increased by 5 million so the number of officers to go around is significantly less.

Unfortunately Gromits OP is correct. IMHO we do not have a Tory party in Government, we have Blue labour with a heavy tinge of green.

What I dont understand is why dedicated Tories, of which I am one, dont fight to get rid of Johnson and his ruddy wife. They are not only wrecking the Party but the country too.

The 20,000 new Police are to be introduced over 5 years of the parliament, limited to 4,000 recruits a year. Nothing to do with not enough people applying.
