a-h, your pomposity tonight is outstanding. Not sure where you get the notion I have gone off topic. You mentioned your music talks first on this thread.

I have posted my opinion on this op, which is not irrelevant to the thread. Nil points ;)
Choux - Which bit of 'I have noted your opinion and dismissed it as irrelevant.' didn't you understand?
I agree with sqad. The price he has paid is too high.
Agreed Naomi

I think most of us will agree that watching porn can be considered as a norm and acceptable but I don't think the workplace is the right environment. He could've just gone to the loo......and, well, you know...........
well if you can forgive and foget a prime minister who has broken the law and been fined,
you can forgive a little foible like porn.

was a good MP? - when not on the internet etc.,

Sqad - you get dismissed if you do it at work on the NHS.... GMC not impressed either

Only if you are caught.
Naomi the 'price he has paid' is one he volunteered to pay - he voluntarily resigned.
erm.... he was caught

but - good morning -
very philososphical for AB that is ! are you doing yoga ? untwist yourself
what is the sound of a tree falling if there is no one in the forest to hear it.
what is the sound of one hand clapping ?
I know.
^That to AH.
//- he voluntarily resigned.//

er - like the Azov Battalion is voluntarily defending Mariupol ? Righto! as someone says. and andie which part of duuuurrrr dont you understand?

or the people of Britian have forgiven Boris for partying because he HASN'T resigned ?
Naomi - If you know, then why protest about the 'high price' when paying it was his choice?

If he thought the 'price' was 'too high', he could have stuck it out (oo-er).

Personally I admire his candid admission of his wrongdoing, and his integrity in resigning.
Doubtless he'll be delighted to hear that, AH.
Do you think so naomi? Then he'll be even more delighted with your response I'm sure.
Odd. Yesterday he wasn't fit to walk a dog but today you admire his integrity.

Based on Squad’s posts, he may be watching porn at work, confident that no-one will catch him.

Whilst he may avoid some-one catching him in the act – the server he is using to connect to the internet will be logging the addresses of sites visited, and the devices that connected to said addresses.

So don’t think just because you are watching porn in your private office at work, you won’t be found out.
Hymie, it isn't a crime so I doubt anyone will be investigating phones.
Thank you Hymie, I will take your valuable advice on board.
naomi - // Odd. Yesterday he wasn't fit to walk a dog but today you admire his integrity. //

A fair point.

The difference between yesterday and today is that I have seen a television interview with Mr Parish in which he was never anything less than completely honest about his actions.

That means that I have adjusted my view of him from an arrogant idiot to someone who has acted foolishly, and is willing to accept the consequences of his actions.

Having said that, I still believe that his lack of judgement means that his resignation is the correct course of action.

It's a pity that others in the House who are increasingly trying to chicane out of mounting evidence of their own wrongdoing, and lapses in judgement, are highly unlikely to be as honourable in accepting the consequences iof their behaviour.
