Just announced he died in the ambush. Could any army be so unlucky to lose 42 in so so short a space of time? surely the Ukrainians are getting some pretty advanced intel. (from the US?)

Here is one deposition from Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Lyudmyla Denisova about sexual violence in liberated areas of Kharkiv region - look away know if you don't want your stomach turned.
Triplet girls, 9 years old, raped by Russian soldiers in front of their mother - severe genital injuries;
a 9-months-old girl (sister of the above)raped with a candlelight (candle?)
a 1-year-old boy, raped by two Russians, died;
a 2-year-old girl, raped by two soldiers, survived.
Two men aged 67 and 78 also raped.

That list of atrocities is indeed stomach-churning, but I don't think it should be confused with the politics. If by 'all territories' you include Crimea, I think that is a big ask. I think a return to the status quo before the invasion is more of a realistic life-saving goal,
