Another war crime to add to the list.
Yes, but I doubt many will get answered unfortunately Danny.
Afraid that you might be right ymb.
We should declare war on the “Donetsk so-called “People”s” Republic”

Ukraine has long asked the UN to designate it a terrorist organisation i
Putin should be sentenced to death in absentia.
There are Russian soldiers convicted for real war crimes.
However distasteful the Ukrainian authorities may find it they will have to hold their noses and arrange a prisoner exchange.
“Putin should be sentenced to death in absentia.”

In Georgia the other day they held a mock funeral for Putin: the reaction of passers-by was not that you’d normally expect to see at a funeral :-)
Today the Russian duma was reportedly debating cancelling Lithuanian independence.

It just gets crazier

Is Lithuania a member of NATO? If they are any attempt on their sovereignty would be the opening scene of WW3.
Last night Russian tv was debating how these - three including the Moroccan - should be executed.
Grotesque and depraved.
Sandy, yes.
Lithuania is in NATO indeed and it happens to lie in the way of Russia linking up with its exclave of Kaliningrad.
But whether this is just a load of nonsense by people who have nothing better to do or something more sinister: who knows.

//Putin should be sentenced to death in absentia//

No, absolutely not, we must remain aloof of the games Russia is currently playing. We must show ourselves to be better, difficult to swallow that it is.
My only objection to sentencing Putin to death is that’s pointless.
With any luck nature will take its course soon enough. Or that the failed assassins of a couple of months back will get it right.
Denis Pushilin is the one who needs taking out. Ok they’d just replace him as they did when his predecessor was eliminated, but even so…
youngma //No, absolutely not, we must remain aloof....//

But there's quite a substantial precedent for it btw;

Since seeing this in the news I have been reading up on the DPR.
I do not know how the Ukrainians continue their fight. I thank God I live in the UK.
Didnt anyone warn the Brits this might happen?

1940-5 Yugoslavia - Tito et al - an elderly man hearing that my daydy never shot/killed/garotted a German whilst on the run (from POW camp, silly Eichstatt and Spangenberg) - said, oh in Jug they never took prisoners. If a hospital was overrun, their own side would shoot them .....

Didnt anyone tell these men it is rough out there?

I don't doubt they were aware, peter, but to be killed in the fighting is one thing, being sentenced to death is another. If this turns out to be a ploy for a political exchange then heaven help these men and their families.
this is hardly new
