I fully understand that being a serving soldier in those days was having to live a double life but once they changed the rules or when she left the army, whichever was first, Dame K should have left the closet - then. And of course we never see ourselves as others see us. To my eyes she was exhibiting all the elements of being gay, and so what I say. I hope she is mentally free.

The fact that you and I are posting on this thread, and the fact that the thread exists, along with the media interest that has created the thread, shows that it clearly is of more interest to the people than it would be if 'Joe Bloggs' were to announce his orientation.
