Another speech by Starmer in which he refers to himself as the former Director of Public Prosecutions. Slightly different this time because he referred to it twice. I think we all know by now, and it has the air of a school prefect who never got over his own self-importance.

Let's face it, Starmer has nothing of substance to refer to apart from his legal career, and I'm not sure he covered himself with glory their either. I simply cannot take him seriously as a potential PM.

if I was DPP during the Saville fiasco I think I'd shut up about it.
What's he banging on about that for?
naomi - // What's he banging on about that for? //

He has to bang on about something - what else has he got?
"The Saville fiasco"

Oh aye, Thatcher's mate. Not many of them have anywhere to hide on that one, Tora.
Haaa! Not a lot, AH, I'll grant you that. :o)
"Director of public Prosecutions" sounds better than
,,,,,,,Director of Private Parties ...

I liked a description of him as having the air of a man who thinks he's left the bath water running.
with his 'tumbleweed' style of speech i'm surprised anyone knows what he's rambling on about

A bit like when Johnson claimed personal credit for introducing a London bus service whilst Mayor that meant an old lady could ride it endlessly to stay warm?
When fact-checked it turned out he hadn’t.

He never mentions the Zahari-Radcliffe fiasco either when he was Foreign Secretary that he exacerbated, got very forgetful when he met Lebedev alone in Italy against all protocols nor reminds everyone about being sacked from previous jobs for lying.

All the bloody same these politicians, eh?
Its a bit difficult to comment without - as per usual - anything to go on bar your musings.
It might bit be odd depending on the context but who can say, as you don’t provide one.
I mean, he IS the former DPP to be fair.
Not the ex- Dalaï Lama for example.
Which would be odd.
12:38...could he be trusted to run a bath?

Indeed. Christ knows how we’ll know when he starts rattling on about Kermit or Peppa Pig?
has Truss stopped referring to her glittering naval career? Has Sunak started to refer to his wealth?

Better that politicians reveal their backgrounds than lie about them or hide them, I feel.
no - I think he knows a lot of Law
just as Boris does Latin a lot to show him and me know latin lots

Starmer says he is an ex DPP - not for one liners like " so are you as awful as that terrible Allison Saunders was?" but to show he kno law a lot
// I mean, he IS the former DPP to be fair. Not the ex- Dalaï Lama for example. Which would be odd.// is Ich = EJThribb 17 1/2 ?

and never, I firmly believe was he ever President of Ukraine,
but as Naomi says so often of my beliefs, so what?
as in, "it could still be true"
Jno, wasn’t it Penny whatshername who had the naval career?

Take your medication, PP.
Jno...when yousay Trusses naval career were you meaning Penny mordant who over egged her navy role
But when thread is about Kier ( who I still think would be alot better than any torys on offer) why does it get diverted onto Boris again or now Sunak/Truss
