Labour will not sweep to power on a wave of optimism like they did with a(then) charismatic Tony Blair but atm they’ll get by with Starmer. He seems decent and honest enough which in comparison to what we’ve had for the last 12(but especially the last 3) years means he’ll probably lead a coalition government. A change of direction is in the air, the electorate...

What about Starmer v Truss?
Labour MUST replace KS to win the next general election.

The numbers also suggest that Sunak would lose more support to Labour than Truss would as Tory leader.
Whose poll is it?
It's a fine balance. You have to make yourself electable but you have to keep some principles (or the principles you professed to have).

I think Andy Burnham would be more popular with the electorate.
I think Andy Burnham would be a decent P M .

20.29 ,,,Ed Milband even.
Should it come to pass the after the next election Labour was to form the government – I can confidently predict that they will be just as incompetent as the current Tory government; whether they will be as corrupt is another question.
I liked Ed Miliband, Gully, but felt he never properly nailed the lie that Labour was responsible for the financial crisis.

And he couldn't eat a bacon sandwich properly!

20.55 Johnson couldn't hang from a zip wire properly But the Idiot still ended up as P/M.
True though imagine that was deliberate, part of the good old Boris isn't he a laugh shtick. Still, more competent on the zipwire than running the country though.
Question Author
22.15 Yes when the Clown was on the zipwire it was quite obviously staged. I'm surprised he never turned up at PMQs wearing his High Vis jacket and white builders helmet .
