'No-one has dome more for Christianity than me' (Youtube). Think St. Paul might disagree.

“No one has done for Christianity more than me” might be more accurate

Such humility.
I think RuPaul might disagree with the oddly coiffed covfefe.
“No one has done for Christianity more than me” might be more accurate
Has he missed the bit about Christianity and divorce?
Must admit that every time I see him on tv I mutter ‘Jesus Christ’ and it’s not in a praiseworthy way because I’m an atheist.
Thanks, Chris.....and more worrying than that is that there are folk on AB who are deluded enough to support him.

He's done so much and the Bible is his favourite book but he wouldn't (couldn't?) say what his favourite verse was.

When asked whether he was an Old or New Testament guy, after some thought, he said, "Probably both"...
Not sure who is the bigger liar Trump or Johnson .
Not much between them.
One might argue that no one has done more to expose the hypocrisy of the religious 'right' or to move America further towards a theocracy than Trump, although Fox news might remain a close contender.
"Probably both" ... there's really only one guy who's in both testaments, isn't there?
Just watched the video where he's asked about the Bible and to the OT or NT question he actually replies, "Probably equal".
".and more worrying than that is that there are folk on AB who are deluded enough to support him."

You have to be even more deluded to support Biden
The only way Trump could do more for religion than one other person is to accept his own crucifixion.
I checked that short YouTube clip and it's been edited from a longer interview so whether his comments were questioned we're not told. However, no one here seems to have bothered to ask why he said that before wading in for the usual kicking, but Jesus and St Paul have no place in the interview and he wasn't comparing himself to either. This, I think, explains his comment.

//Trump rolls out policies that would push federal funds to religious groups and advance prayer in public schools//

So what? I doubt there are many who can quote verses. I've studied the bible for years and I know very well what it contains but there is only one verse reference that I've made a point of committing to memory because that verse is crucial to the lie that religion promotes. I don't need to remember the rest - so I don't.

Paigntonian, in your haste to denigrate you don’t seem very Christian to me. The non-religious I guess have an excuse. They're not obliged to be kind - or honest.
Please, a round of applause for Donald, saviour of the world.
How long until he is a "super hero" in a Marvel comic?
Captain Covfefe?
That could work.
But he would need a mask
Trying to defend it just makes it worse.

Leave us “lefties” (Paigntonian for example??!!) to our love-in.
No one else has mentioned that yet so why don’t I?
I'm not 'trying' to defend anything. I've given a very reasonable explanation of his comment - not that most here want one. They'd rather just carry on kicking.
