Britain forced to go begging to Belgium for More electricity supplies to avoid blackout, during the heatwave, and had to pay them the highest price on record . This is going to have a knock on effect that will now send household electric bills soaring. ,,,,,, So much for Brexit then.....
,,,,,Britain is not capable of standing alone...

Don't Gulliver & Gromit just love it when things are bad for Britain?
I think there's a name for that.
Would be treachery Khandro if Gully lived here, he says he doesn’t but he gets very annoyed and upset at our Parliament, can’t think why ;0)
Khandro,
My post diagrees with Gully and categorically refutes a Brexit cause.

Don’t know what you read that makes you lump me in Gully ? Perhaps you should stick to sourcing nutjobs on YouTube to support your conspiracy theories.
gully - when you go into a shop to buy summat do you go "cap in hand". What's so different about buying leccy on an open market?
Surely just a deal between two chip loving nations.
Gromit; Apologies, I misread your post.

Davebro @ 14,03 If I had left the shop and told them to get stuffed as in Brexit ,then yes I would go cap in hand,as they may not want to serve me ,,Got it !
dave 14:03, never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
Looks like we are buying it from Belgium and selling it to the frogs. Nice touch.
""Energy supply shock: UK exporting RECORD numbers to France despite facing own crisis
OVER the past few months, the UK has come to the rescue of several EU nations, including France, despite facing an energy crisis of its own.
Figures from the National Grid have revealed that since the start of April, Britain has been a major exporter of electricity to Europe, powering countries including France, Belgium and the Netherlands through subsea cables.
This is a significant change, as the UK has generally been a net importer of electricity from Europe, particularly during times when renewable energy generation is low.
France’s energy woes play a major role in this reversal, as the country is facing its lowest nuclear output in over a decade after more than half of French nuclear reactors have gone offline in the past few months.""

\\ Interconnectors are high-voltage under-sea cables. They’re the international clean energy super-highways; stretching for hundreds of miles and crossing borders to enable energy produced from renewables to flow back and forth between Great Britain and neighbouring countries.//
Please note "to flow back and forth".
