I wonder how the North Koreans interpret the word 'Volunteer'. Anyone not towing the party line?!

It sounds a little bit on the dodgy side, the North Koreans are less trustworthy than the Russians.
Volunteers? That made me laugh. This should be in jokes.

Was wondering about the volunteer thing too. A case of everyone taking one step back? Also did the article say which side they'd be fighting for?

When I was a little younger the Morning Star maintained that East Germany was the perfect Workers' State. Pity that workers in the GDR didn't agree. Now, I kid you not, North Korea is the ideal Workers State according to the Morning Star. They actually print this bilge.
Russia potentially could get useful help from Iran in terms of equipment.

The N Korea thing tho is a non starter
Unless they are bringing the weaponry needed, missiles etc. their addition would hardly be noticed. And I suspect any weaponry they did have wouldn't compare to Western military tech.

Would be good to make a record of those nations that actively support aggression/invasions though. Long memories are useful.
It certainly puts a new slant on co-operation between former and current communist states.

Personally I doubt that the Koreans will have a dog in the fight.
