I have no problem with gang members killing other gang members, it seems to have longer community benefits than the prison system.
When women and children are being killed out of incompetence, then it is clear that those in charge are amateurs and more dangerous because of that. The criminals need to get more professional, and keep the innocent public safe.

As I've got older I've come to realise that summary justice from the other guests is a bit of a myth.

There might be the odd one but if it was dished out as required the overcrowding might be eased.

If we live in a society where we think it is acceptable for people to murder each other, as long as they fit some arbitrary profile which means they are denied the right to exist, then there is something seriously wrong with that society.

wagging a finger at society. There’s far more seriously wrong with people who shoot little girls! I couldn’t care less what horrors they suffer for their crimes. They deserve all they get - and more.

I agree - those who may be at particular risk are probably put with others of the same ilk. So in any particular sector they are are all "of a kind" & have no axe to grind with their fellow inmates.
