Worth remembering that the matter was referred to the Privileges Committee by MPs themselves. Despite the Conservatives having a 70+ majority in the house, MPs voted to let the Committee investigate whether Parliament had been mislead (it had).

It is better that the debate carry on in the linked thread as opposed to having three threads about the same issue.

Having folk needing to read comments in three threads to make sense of who said what is not helpful.

Gromit, it's not extraordinary - it's practical. Someone said there was a thread already running and asked why I'd posted it - so I asked for it to be closed and for people to continue on the original thread. Now you've opened a third. Extraordinary. :o/
