// Anne-Marie Trevelyan is the new Transport Secretary. She was on Radio 4's Today programme a while ago and couldn't construct a coherent sentence. //

But she is replacing Grant Shapps, so bound to be a great improvement on that useless piece of hard shoulder.
/// fracking (good) ///

Fracking uses billions of gallons of water - wonder where that's coming from given our empty reservoirs, dried up river beds, etc etc etc.
I'm sure a windfarm in the river at Westminster would be an elegant addition to london's skyline and easily run on hot air.
I do not know how good Coffey will be but the other appointments look good.

Apparently being quizzed about the bifters too.
From Sky News:

Coffey admits she is 'not the role model' for health
More now from Health Secretary Therese Coffey, who is doing the media rounds after also being appointed deputy prime minister by Liz Truss.
Asked about her weight and smoking habits, Ms Coffey told LBC that she "may not be the role model but I am sure that the chief medical officer and others I am sure will continue to be role models in that regard".

She does unfortunately look like a heart attack waiting to happen though.
Coffey, Is this the Tory MP who went to the party conference and didn't know if she was in.
...Blackpool or Birmingham.
I think you must mean MP Heather Wheeler who said, a few month ago, "I was just at a conference in Blackpool or Birmingham or somewhere godawful,"

I thought you lefties would be welcoming the changes - you never had a good word to say about their predecessors!
bit of a non-sequitur there, davebro?

I'll praise improvements - when i see any
//I thought you lefties would be welcoming the changes //

Me too, dave. It's almost as if they didn't realise that upon getting rid of Boris they would still have a Conservative Prime Minister and a Conservative government. Strange.

Lol, Lefties? Because we want to see a decent, honest and competent government?
Not Continuity Johnson, with all the same Boris sycophants who let him get away with all that he did, until knowledge of a sexual predator came light and they finally did the right thing?
Give over! Lol

Yet you wouldn’t endorse her in any way, shape or form, so even you must expect her to fail?
Very strange.
Not strange at all, fatticusinch. I don't know what she's going to do yet.
Question Author
…..yet wouldn’t give either candidate the time of day because you were still sulking that they’d got rid of Boris?!
Righto! Lol.
I wouldn't give either candidate the time of day because I didn't think either was up to the job - that's what I said when the candidates emerged. You clearly don't read my posts so don't assume you know what you don't. You make yourself look silly.
Question Author
Lol, it’s you’re devotion to Boris that’s rather silly.

This getting is getting a bit like Fred and Ginger in Shall We Dance.
Fatti,
I am sure a new pan of sycophancy is on the stove and ready to be dished out very quickly when they have to defend the indefensible soon. Tora has already started brown nosing.
If only, drmorgans. Fred didn't have two left feet. ;o)
