I'd like to go that way.
o god at that age, even kings and queens
just keel over and die
time for last words? Charles II - apologised for taking such an unconscionable time dying
the scene in Victoria - the Kensington years - was very like what happened in 1837. wellington, archbish, and Ld Chancellor rode down to Kensington, and resisted blandishments from the Duchess of Kent to call again at a sane hour
Geroge V - how goes it with the Empire - official

Some years ago, I was not a fan of the monarchy. However, I now see a remarkable individual in our queen. She is compassionate and caring and a real example of leadership and dignity, often in the face of adversity.
Like a lot of people, I never supported Thatcher and her policies, but the disgusting behaviour of some when she died showed total disrespect.
I hope the same doesn't happen should the queen die in the next few days.
What happened to the British qualities of dignity and respect?

Pulled or not
I thought they wanted all the important royals cross the line,
someone blows a whistle
and the next act begins
George V - "The King's life is drawing quietly to a close"
Also Lord Dawson ( "no one in London cd die in those days without Dawsons permission") had given a decent dose of morphine. Criticised 50 y later but so what?

How very strange it will be not to have our Queen around, I will miss her lovely heart warming smile (a smile I have seen in person when she visited my area and I was lucky enough to see her). I also marvelled at how tiny she was. I was two when she became Queen, so I have known no other and I will miss her. She has become frailer and frailer since Philip died, the same happened with my beloved Mum after Dad died and she too passed 14 months later. I had a feeling the Queen wouldn't last much longer after Philip. I know she is a great age and has had a good life, but so what ?? I feel the world will be a sadder place without her and her radiant smile and I can feel the tears starting. God bless her, always.
