YMF, re the security nightmare scenario. That's why i said they should have gone en masse once the royals had left the scene and before Joe Public were allowed entry.

Yes, but that too would be a security nightmare. Whilst they are all together in the HoC it is currently like a fortress with heavily armed Police surrounding it.

Going the see the Queen where she would not be anywhere near as secure and could well be a great opportunity for an opportunist terrorist. It would also put vast swathes of the public at risk too.

MPs are elected to represent the people in their constituency.
My MP is paying his respects, not just as an individual, but for all the people in his constituency who wont be able to queue up for hours and hours. I wouldnt expect him to queue up to do that
