Britain is now sitting back watching the Tory Party render itself unelectable for at least a generation.....And good riddance. ...Liz Truss has arrived in office without any significant poll bounce. Which makes her unique in polling history. When Liz's Chancellor delivered his budget Speech he said "The money markets will react to my speech , and they did, they sank the pound and sent borrowing rates sky high .Meanwhile Liz promised more tax cuts for the super rich Here ends the arrogance and self regard of the Tory Party.
when the liz lady became prime minister she made some statements about energy and i though ok this might be good then all of a sudden today the banks go into crisis mode and pull mortgages because apparently the pound is broken and should we all just buy bitcoin so really you do have a point here i am sure somewhere

The pound isn't broken roadman....its not had a god run but its more that the dollar is really strong due to there hikes in interest rates. The euro was allso down against the dollar to last time I looked?
18.41 The Pound is broken Bobbinwales. And the UK is heading for the highest interest rates ever recorded in Britain Believe me. even god can't help the UK slipping into being a third world country.
Bet your glad you don't leave here...
But interest rates are still much lower than when I first had a mortgage...so I guess your just making that up or hoping.
"The highest UK base rate was 17% in the late 70s when rising wages and oil prices were caused by a surge in inflation." - now who would like to guess what government was in then?
