£115,000 Per Annum For Life.
Nice pension if you can get it: For crashing the pound, the economy, and the Tory Party

But for ballance "John Major, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron all claimed more than £100,000 in the last financial year.", though they did serve alot longer. I dont think May claim's it but cant be sure. Shouldn't be paid or at least should be like redundancy and based on years service

I never thought truss was up to it and cant wait for Keir, but again theres no ballance in many of the posts on here and so they cant be taken seriousley
For example //For crashing the pound, the economy, and the Tory Party//
The pound- temporarily yes (though partly due to dollar strength) but its bounced back.
The Tory party- yes, tho' I blame the Cons members who voted her.
The economy- well am not sure she made much difference in 44 days, it was struggling anyway like most in Europe, and is no better or worse than the mess before she stepped in

I think ex-prime ministers are expected to account for the up to £115k p.a. they can claim; I seem to recall questions were being asked about John Major and what he is doing with all the money he claimed – but as ever with the rich, they seem to get away with whatever they like and no action/sanction has been taken against him.
Actually it's not a pension for life. From the Mail on Line:
"Meanwhile, on top of the £18,860 pay-out, Ms Truss will also be entitled to claim up to £115,000 a year in an allowance for former prime ministers.
Payments are made to help ex-premiers continue to fulfil their public duties through the running of an office."
