Wrong again. There were 57 who’d gone public. I said that there were undoubtedly a few more, it’s just that they weren’t bold enough to make their convictions public for fear of the backlash from the public.

I think it's a blow for Labour. With Bojo the Clown as PM, Labour would probably have gained a majority at the next election without needing Scotland, but now we're headed for a hung parliament.

I think Labour would rather someone less competent than either Boris or Rishi got the job. Boris is out of the running but Rishi is a seasoned politician and has a good chance of bringing stability to the government - something that Labour won’t like at all.

That's just your wet dream Fatti. If Rishi gets it and picks a cabinet based on ability not factionalism then the party will have enough sense to unite behind him.

Mordant is still in, what if the Boris supporters, now he's placed himself out, switch to her this morning, & she gets over the hundred. It will then be a 2 horse race then go to the Tory membership & she could win.

I support Labour but I also support Sunak because this madness has to stop.
Could still be Mordaunt if course. She could have a run of backers. I note she has been saying nice things about Boris Johnson this morning :-)
If I was Graham Brady I'd be hoping that they don't need a members vote. If members voted contrary to the party that would be hugely damaging, regardless of whether it was for Sunak or Mordaunt.

Hmmm, strange that Johnson didn’t go for it with the Party members despite(as his backers claimed) him supposedly having over the 100 required.
He/they wouldn’t have lied about they, would they?
