MPs will allowed to claim expenses for Christmas Partys
Claims will cover Food and drink for Parliamentary staff but not alcohol.
Time to drink the wine in tea cups then. Cheers Taxpayer.

When I worked in an office, back in the day when office parties were allowed, we provided our own food, drink and decorations - there was on allowance from the company, and why should there be?
'All claims will be published in the usual manner.'

Organisations differ - I have worked for companies that DID fund Xmas parties.
Companies often put money towards staff parties - but commercial ventures are designed to make profits.

They can also claim back the cost of festive decorations , Christmas cards and the postage.
well it's open to most of us to (try to) become an MP if we think it's such a great career!

Gulliver should know about the extent of tax deductability on Christmas spends - after all, he decorates his Transylvania Socialist Schloss in full Xmas regalia each year, red lights of course.

But not from public money I would bet? When I was still teaching we provided every penny for our end of term do, when the microwave in the little kitchen needed replacing we were told it would have to come from our Staff Fund.
