If he feels strongly enough about it (and why wouldn't he) he has the right to pursue every available legal recourse to get justice even if he did campaign to leave the ECHR.

it's pretty hypocritical of him to use a court whose legitimacy he has been attacking for years... if he had gotten his way then neither he nor the rest of us would be able to use it!

he doesn't have to take it to strasbourg does he? the whole point of the human rights act is to make ECHR cases enforceable in uk courts

With the present setup yes, that is the way it has to be done until we withdraw from the ECHR and setup a similar body for the UK
