Voting On Scottish Indeoendence
In the wake of the recent judgement and Nicola Sturgeon's determined response, if Westminster conceded to her wish for another referendum but threw the question out to the whole country, how would you vote? For Scottish independence - or against?

In reality I know the Scots of my acquaintance would be devastated by a 'Leave' vote - as inevitably would Scotland.
I'd love to as Nicola how far down the line she is in making contingency plans to deal with the things which aren't currently devolved and are still controlled by Westminster.

//If they want out, let them vote for it. But a secondary vote must be the final time. The result sticks and if they don't like it, tough.//
There's the rub Mozz - they don't want it to "stick". They want it to be advisory so they can go on beating the UK gov with it to screw more moolah for Scotland.

if they put the question to the whole country it would make far more sense to ask something like "do you wish for the union to be dissolved"... i wish for the union to remain together if possible but i suspect i would be on the losing side as nobody seems to care about it now
i would feel a bit uncomfortable voting directly on scotland's independence as i am not scottish and I think it should be their decision

//I just don't want the agro with borders etc. NI was bad enough can you imagine the problems with a Scotland England border?//
Assuming that Scotland does not move seamlessly from dependence on the Union to dependence on the EU (which is most unlikely) I doubt there will be any border problems since both parties would want to continue trading on sensible terms. The problems will only come if and when Scotland gets its wish to join the EU. Then, of course, the EU will insist on border checks between England and Scotland (to prevent their Single Market being contaminated). Good luck to Scotland with that.
I doubt I would vote if such a referendum were held.
