What with Harry's extraordinary attack on his brother and Meghan's take on Meghan being perfection personified, can the rift ever be healed?
Harry spoke quite wistfully, I thought, of his life with his family, an impression that didn’t diminish when he referred to his Californian residence as 'home sweet home' and said this is where he is meant to be, or words to that effect. Somehow I couldn't quite believe he meant it. It's all so very sad.
The thing I dislike most about these 2 are the lies that they tell.
It started with the Oprah Winfrey show when people were counting how many lies they told. This has now carried on to other appearances they have made when a lot of what they say just isn't true.
When they came to Manchester and Meghan was giving a talk, it was all me,me,me.
Once again, someone pointed out that all she wants to do is talk about herself and tell lots of porkies along the way. It's true.
I haven't been following this. It's of no interest to me but people should be looking for the root cause of all this which, in my opinion goes back to Charles' infidelity when Harry was a youngster. Maybe, maybe not. Even if the root cause was revealed, would it make any difference now?
I think this time, in accusing the King of lying, William of bullying, and the late-Queen of failing to intervene, they really have lost much of whatever public sympathy they had. They've gone a step too far.
