Oh my, I didn't put Clarkson down as one of the ones that pretends to hate Harry, but secretly loves him, but despite loving him wants their marriage to cause him pain, then fail - because ultimately it's for for his own good - then pretends that they've disowned him and won't welcome him back with open arms but secretly would be over the moon if our Harry came home.

Maybe he is, or maybe he just writes what he gets paid to write.
