You Can Go Off People, Can You Not?

Two things which turned me off some people in 2022.

The King: For throwing his God-mother Lady Hussey under a bus.

Boris Johnson: For recommending a 30 something, nobody friend of his wife, Carrie for ennoblement to The House of Lords.

Do you agree ?

That may well be, but isn't the point at all, & I'm sure they aren't on HERS.
She was publicly shamed by Charles & William by them saying not a word in her defence & now she is somehow at the ending of her (certainly working) life left to look as though she has behaved reprehensively, which is far from the truth.

It is clear now, as it was to some then, that she was ambushed in to saying what she said, which was quite trivial anyway.

Lady Hussey should have taken a lead from the late Queen. Her regular question on being introduced to someone, 'Have you come far?', would have been as suitable for a lady dressed in African robes as for someone from Guilford.

Khandro, can you explain how you clearly KNOW what happened at the reception, as opposed to what you would like to think think might have been the case?

Khandro, I think you’re wrong. They didn’t mention her. They were very diplomatic in their language … as would be expected. There is no way they’ve dumped her - or she them.

The only 'ambush' remains where it has always been Khandro, in your imagination.

It was an unfortunate incident, but fictionalising it to fit your pity party does not turn it into something it wasn't.

It is a a matter of record that Lady Hussey resigned of her own volition, no 'bus' was involved.

She has accepted her part in what took place, for reasons best known to yourself, you are still unable to do the same.

Oddly enough, I read that the congregation of the church Lady Hussey attends regularly is 90% black. The whole thing was a manufactured fuss over nothing.

There is nothing wrong or racist with being asked where you are from if the person asking the question cannot tell your nationality from your appearance, which does not just mean skin colour but includes your name, style of dress, deportment and the way you choose to present yourself.
Did you see what she looked like at the time, not the stock photos used later by the press ?
