From One Of There Own...
Sir Alan Duncan..Says..The Conservative Party is on the edge of Oblivion.
The Brexit Purists need to appreciate that the Cons are on their way to oblivion and any further internal division will push them over the edge.
....I like Sir Alan. Hope he is correct.

One apparently needs to remind some here that the country wisely supported Brexit, so the government are honour bound to tie up any loose ends remaining and caused by outside influences during this transition period.

Gromit: "I remember during the Thatcher era it was said Labour would never see power again - until they won a massive landslide. " - that was Tory Lite, Blair was a Thatcherite. Real Labour cannot win, Sir Beer may once again steal the Tory clothes but I don't think he has time. Wee burney going may help him win some more Scottish seats.
I truly hope he is right
the conservatives have nothing policy wise so they are going to spend the next eighteen months whipping up hatred against vulnerable minorities and blaming their failures on them
the Party has always come first for a tory in their long history.... no matter who gets hurt! It's how they've stayed at the top of the game so long

Well, I definitely want the Tories out, make no mistake, but Gulliver says @ 22.47:
"They are completely detached from reality"
I think all politicians are detached from reality. I've said this for some time. They have no idea what life is like for the ordinary person in this country and that's because they are now career politicians, never having to pay a mortgage, hold down a job, raise children and all that goes with those things. They only think they know, but actually, they're clueless about them.

consider the two Andersons naomi…
Iain Anderson’s comments after leaving the tory party:
“ The last straw for Anderson, he relates, was Rishi Sunak’s decision to make the culture wars a central plank of the Conservative offering at the next general election. “It was made pretty clear the plan is to run a culture war to distract from fundamental economic failings”, Anderson told the media. “It’s not something I want any part of.” ”

it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what they mean by “culture wars”

Untitled, //…accepted his post as LGBT business champion….That role provided the apparent pivot for him. Last April, he resigned from the unpaid advisory post because of Johnson’s support for women-only spaces, restrictions on trans athletes competing against biological women and the government’s failure to proceed with a ban on “conversion therapy”….. Later that year, he took up the post of chairman of Stonewall….Tories have suggested privately he was furious at the government’s decision to block the Scottish Parliament’s Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill, which would have made it easier in Scotland to obtain a Gender Recognition Certificate as another sex//
No agenda there then.
//The Conservative Party’s Deputy Chairman, Lee Anderson, has declared that a “mix of culture wars and trans debate” will be at the heart of its next election campaign.//
Personally I welcome debates of that nature. They don't come before time. What's your objection to that?
