I haven't used it either, but do visit some times. Fun fact, you can find tweets where I'm a target of abuse/trolling.

Basically always has been a "hate factory". The difference now is that its owner seems to find the bullying and hate "funny". What a jerk Musk is.

Lot of nonsense talked about Twitter.

Depends what you use it for.
You are unlikely to be bothered by “trolls” unless you are a high profile user - maybe especially a “Twitter blue” user.
Like FB, a lot of the criticism comes from people who have never used it.
It has the potential for many to be like a dangerous road. But like roads, it’s the users/drivers who cause the problems.

Anyone who appears in any way in public, ever, gets "targeted". In this case, it was after I appeared on TV way back when.

The more public you are on these things the more likely you will be to get comments back.

If you keep your head down it’s less likely to be bitten off.
The only people who ever see my FB posts are friends. Few ever see what I tweet.

The basic problem with 'social media' is that every moron with a keyboard can express an opinion to the world, even though the world is less than interested.

The other problem, is that said morons honestly believe that the facility to share their view on the same platform as genuinely interesting informative intelligent people, puts their pointless poisonous garbage on the same level.

It's an exercise in the duplicate negatives - ignorance and ego.

It was always doomed to sink to the bottom of the cess pit, and remain there, permanently.
