Nor me particularly. I just wonder why the criticism of the US 'right' when in this country the left are generally responsible and only the 'right' kick against it.

One of the leading Christian apologists of the last century was CS Lewis. One of his books, The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe, was on a list of those to be banned in Florida.
The people who wanted it banned must never have read it, or if they did they didn't understand it.

You can still see a picture of Edward Colston's statue in a book, and that book could be taught in school.

What these Americans were doing was not showing a picture of Michaelangelo's David. It's nothing to do with the statue, it's about showing a picture in a book, for education.

Nakedness is not (necessarily) porn. The expression "snowflake" is hardly sufficient to describe this situation. One appreciates different cultures hold different views, and different people do too. However there is a point where one is justified in wondering about the mental state of individuals. One doesn't know how their minds were twisted such that they would take offence at a statue depicting the human form, but one must feel saddened by their plight. They will have to live with it for life.

However the result is utterly unacceptable in a civilised society. No one should lose their job for doing it well. Shame on that nation, or at least that part of it.

Anyway, the OP is about education, and direction. The education of showing a picture of Michaelangelo's David. And the direction of that education, being previously permissible and now not being permissible, which is backwards (IMO).

In this case not all Republicans are evangelists so the answer is no. It's like saying every lefty supports ANTIFA. They dont.
