Thousands of coach and car passengers endured a miserable Wait .
Many of them all through the night for their much awaited Easter Holiday
Stormy weather and the French were blamed by the UK Government .
But the Brits were just getting a taste of what they signed up for with Brexit When voted to become "Third Country Nationals" in the eyes of the EU... And it can only get worse....You are no longer in the EU so you have to join the non EU queues at ports and airports You voted for it . Enjoy.

As I have said before, things are going to get much, much worse with Brexit continuing to wreck havoc on the UK.

//What would be the point of democracy if we thought, "Well, the Opposition have have not experience of governing, so we may as well continue with the elected party".

Therein madness lies//

I quite agree. So imagine this then:

What would be the point of democracy if we thought, "Well, neither the government nor the Opposition have had the experience of governing the country when it was not a member of the EU, so we may as well remain".

Madness?

Home Secretary Suella Braverman says it is very unfair to blame Brexit for the delays at Dover.
....Right Oh!
How many here who argue day in and day in and day out that Brexit is a mistake have actually joined an organisation specifically working to rejoin?
I put a post earlier asking why a poster calling guliver names and reffering to him in derogatory terms , was not being pulled up.

Seems to have dissapeared .

Why I know not
Not many, naomi, judging by the election results in places where "Rejoin EU" fielded candidates. I posted them in a post a week or two ago. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow.
YNNAFMMI, "English Tories and Scottish SNPers were the main driving force behind Brexit."

If all the SNPs voters had voted to remain, the UK would have left the EU still. I have telt you this multiple times and NJ has also confirmed you are wrong but you insist on posting this false claim or variations of it.

Any time I see you make this claim, I will correct you.

TCL @ 23.02 Don't know about the SNP ,but the English Tories were no doubt the driving force behind Brexit .You can tell that also, by the support Brexit gets from Answer Bank which is Predominatly a Tory site with has a bigger Majority than even Johnson could raise.
//the English Tories were no doubt the driving force behind Brexit //

How so? The then Prime Minister (a Tory) did his damnedest to try and swing a remain vote.
Question Author
08.42 The then Prime minister(a Tory) Cameron.
Gave the UK the EU referendum to try and keep the Tory Party in power. and shot himself in the foot.
Shame you didn't vote in the referendum gulliver... if all those who didn't vote but winge about the result had voted Remain we might still be in. Ah well you missed your chance
//... if all those who didn't vote but winge about the result had voted Remain we might still be in.//

Indeed, bob. But even more influential than that were the estimated 4 million Labour supporters who voted to leave. Unfortunately Gulliver's logic falls apart. The Tory PM who called the referendum did so in reaction to widespread public disquiet over our EU membership. Some 4m voted for UKIP in the 2015 General Election. But despite the PM's almost rabid support for the Remain side the country thought better of it. Had the 4m Labour supporters (or even half of them) who voted to leave voted the remain, they would have swung the vote easily. But many Labour supporters were as unhappy with our membership as anybody else.
The queue is now moving.

Yes - if anyone thought that…but no-one did.
AND - I don't think he ever said so but it was widely believed that the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn supported Leave.
he certainly didn't campaign for Remain
Going back to my earlier question, does anyone here belong to an organisation that actively campaigns to re-join, or do you all confine your efforts to moaning about it on AB?
Question Author
Bobbinwales 09.24 But I did vote in the EU ref Bob
Do you think it might be a case of having the sense to know that any ‘rejoin’ groups don’t have a hope in hell, Naomi?
Are you against people being able to voice their opinions or are you in the ‘put up or shut up’ camp?
//How many here who argue day in and day in and day out that Brexit is a mistake have actually joined an organisation specifically working to rejoin?//

I’d argue that those who voted to remain respect the democratic decision to leave, but at the same time now wish to point out the sheer stupidity of leaving.

In the same way that if your party doesn’t win an election, you don’t seek to overthrow that result (unless you’re Donald Trump), but you can still criticise the opposition.
but to what end? as I said - "peeing in the wind"
