Ridiculous - its a conspiracy theory put about by labour and lib dems.
Presumably because they don't listen to the news - and they don't read their voting cards either. My card states the new rule quite clearly.
More rubbish from Auntie, TTT.
To be eligible to vote, You need to be on the electoral register.
The local Gov/Council will send out a Poll card to everyone who is eligible.
The Poll card CLEARLY states that a form of ID is required.

Just crap reporting again from the Big Bad Company !

So it's the BB5C having a go at the government then? right oh!

They've changed the headline in that link!
I’m surprised it’s only 25% to be honest.

I didn’t realise or had forgotten until I read about it here recently!
Doesn’t matter in my case, but just saying.
Honestly, who even looks at their polling card - when it finally arrives.
I didn't know. I knew it was coming but didn't realise it was here AND applied to local elections. My husband picked up our voting cards when they arrived and put them on the dresser for when we need them. It was only when I was tidying up I saw it on there. I might well have gone without I.d. if I hadn't do e that
Nothing to do with BBC reporting. This has come from The Electoral Commission's research.
Or like usual I probably wouldn't have because I wouldn't have gone to vote
Or do postal voting, bednobs, easy peasy.
The figure comes from the Electoral Commission, not the BBC.

Yawn :-0 !
Not quite sure what you are yawning at klazo? I mean voting ca be a bit dry but if you don't think a q is interesting you are not obliged to participate
Our council has been very active on this and yes, its on the polling card and most of the Gumpf shoved through the door.

What more can they do? If you dont read things sent to you then tough I guess.
I am expecting violence at some polling stations when somebody turns up with no ID, isn't allowed to vote, "Nobody told me" and goes bananas.
Perhaps because any reference they saw to it just had to be some sort of idiotic April Fool, so they ignored and forgot about it.

If the government don't want their vote, well, no one was keen on encouraging any of them anyway.
The yawn was not directed at you or the post Bednobs. It was to TCL for reiterating what two others had already said. Am I am aware of where the stats come from. I just don't like the way the beeb report. I'll never trust them after all the bias reporting I have seen during and since Covid.

And this is my last post on this thread. So if anyone asks 'Give us an example'

You'll be waiting an awful long time for a responce. :-)

You said it was inaccurate tho:
And it isn’t, or at least if it is they tee just reporting a body who should know.
Personally, I agree that people should pay more attention but the fact is I’m not surprised many don’t realise.
