She could, though I doubt she'll succeed. The Good Burghers of Hackney North & Stoke Newington want a Labour MP. I doubt they care whether that MP is white, black, numerate or innumerate. Ms Abbot has succeeded since 1987 because she wears a red rosette, not for any other attribute she might have.

Did I break Site Rules when I posted the below? I didn't think there was anything in there that did so, but it's been removed. I can't remember it word for word, but it was something along the following lines.
