........."Labour is now The Largest Party of Local Government"............
By contrast The Cons endured a devasting day ,losing over ,
..One thousand seats. Labour are now well on the way to picking up the keys to no 10 at the General election . no doubt about it .
...Well done Sir Keir. The Blues have got the runs.
Oh,come off it OG.The only reason Labour didnt win the last election wasnt about returning to their so called values.It was because they had an IRA apologist anti-semitic leader.The British people arent going to vote for some aerosol who prefers the IRA terrorists to ordinary decent people.Starmer isnt an IRA apologist,he isnt anti-semitic like the last...
Well I'm glad torys lost so many but dissappointed that libs and greens seems to have been the choice and labour didn't win as many as I hoped. Swing was 9% I think...enough for hung parliment but need more for labour majority
The gains were distributed because no party has sufficient of the public's trust to be seen as most worthy, indicating these were generally protest vote gains, not support vote gains.
Maybe I got the swing wrong but sky says Labour on 36% cons 29%. Maybe that's just England. But we should of been looking for 40% plus if we want majority. Best hope is lots of snp seats go to labour
10.26 You lost this one me old china ,and you willl lose the next one, just suck it up and prepare yourself to go into Opposition as ....."The Party Opposite".....
They will lose the next one but labour might not win either... could be hung parliament... depending on any alliance's Labour might stillhe opposition based on these results gulliver
Yes we lost but I'm confident that we'll now win the GE, as OG says the diversity of beneficiaries indicates protest voting. I am now so looking forward to Autumn 2024 election. Clearly Labour do not have the support they need to win a GE.
I always believe at the next election the Tories will be returned at Westminster,the SNP will be returned at Holyrood.Nationalism still hasnt run its course in the UK.
I wouldn't be too happy about it ttt. Even if Labour doesn't win outright there'll most likely be a coalition or pact to keep the Tories out, like there was to get rid of Gordon Brown.
//Rodders has ruled out a coalition//
Well he would say that wouldn't he.
But when it comes to the crunch am sure he would do it if needed to keep Cons out
