When Will Uk Courts Start Taking Knife Crime Seriously?
42 Answers
A TEEN murdered a schoolboy with a machete while on bail from two courts for possessing zombie knives.
Firstly why was he on bail and secondly why only 19 years? He took a life he should lose his, if he cant swing then he should be permanently locked up.

Plenty to discuss on AB about golliwogs on this site but zilch discussed when this butcher's bill mounts by the day. Is it because it is so commonplace these days and becomes 'boring' same old? Is it because these knife crimes are predominantly 'black on black' slaughters? I am sure the police have sufficient evidence on who and how these county lines organisations are operating. They should start cracking down hard and that may lessen the fatalities in the country if premises are searched, drugs and guns confiscated as well as the proceeds of crime.
//Would you lock up the 14 year old for carrying a knife because they wanted to look 'hard'?//
Of course. A 14 year old is old enough to know it is illegal to carry a knife. As for 'looking hard' a 14 year old is just as capable of using the knife to stab and kill with it as they usually get bonus points and kudos depending on the scale of injuries caused tom the victim.

//So if there is no doubt he committed the crime why should there not be the death penalty?//
Good question. You'll soon see the bizarre excuses why the death penalty should not be restored. Most will tell you there is no evidence it reduces murders blah blah blah. They will direct you to American crime stats etc. I am sure some 14 year old wouldn't want to 'look hard' if he saw his older mentors crying for mummy when they are led bound and hooded to the gallows.

//There was a time when it was common for a 14 year old to carry a knife.
Probably many of you did.//
I have always carried a knife. I still do every day. Different mindset in those days. No young drug dealing gangs in the 1960's. Laws changed and certain knives were forbidden so I changed my choice of knife accordingly. I used to prefer a lock knife as I did a loat of blue water sailing and needed to use it one handed. I had a reasonable excuse to have it. There is absolutely no excuse for a zombie knife or machete to be carried in a public place. Instant jail sentence in my opinion.
My knife of choice, you will find , is a non locking Opinel. about 2" long in total ,perfectly legal and I can give a reasonable excuse to having it in my possession.

he is so young that he is gonna be out in his mid thirties innit?
OK answers: he was on bail as a result of the Bail Act 1979 I think. Remanded in custoy is bad, therefore Bail - and also there are HUGE backlogs of cases
if he cant swing - oh god we are back to that....
give up
