Has there been a funeral for her yet? It all seems to have gone very quite.

The mum-of-two was laid to rest on Wednesday (March 8) at St Michael's in Wyre Parish, Lancaster. Ahead of the service, the grieving family requested total privacy so that they could say their final goodbyes in peace.

It's brilliant that, for once at least, a family got the privacy they asked for.

An inquest into her death will be heard on Monday, June 26 at County Hall, Preston.

Verdict - accidental drowning - doesn't take much of a brain to work that one out.

maggiebee - that's quick. My godson was found dead on May 4th last year. The inquest was scheduled for June 8/9 this year - it has just been postponed indefinitely. It's horrible. I am so glad that this family is able to get quiet and private closure.

jourdain2 - sorry to hear that. Feel that's far to long for the family to be left hanging. They need closure so that they can move on with their lives. Admit I know very little about the process.

quite often inquests will be opend and adjourned while an investigation takes place - a desk top exercise

bednobs - in this case it is because the employing organisation (which may be pertinent to his suicide) has failed to submit the paperwork asked for.

It's crazy isn't it. We weren't even allowed my daughters body back for sbout 18 months. They had her longer than we did
