Immigration: Enough ?
Is it not time to face the facts, & how could anyone not be appalled by the way the government has mishandled this issue?
Who ya gonna call ? (I don't know about you, but it won't be Ghostbusters, I'll be calling the Reform Party)

The UK is not ruined. And if it is not as good as it was, that is because of our appalling politicians and bad goverance over the last decade, and not because of illegal immigration.
A government that has been elected on a ticket of reducing immigration for the last 13 years, but has instead seen substantial rises, year after year, has surely failed.
That isn’t good, but it isn’t ruinous as the video suggests.

On the contrary, immigration has made this country; but I would agree that everyone should be appalled by the government’s handling of the situation.
Without the economic migrants coming to this country, we would be a poorer nation – both economically and socially (in terms of diversity etc).
On average, economic migrants contribute more to society in terms of taxes than the indigenous population. Many businesses are crying out for workers, which they cannot get and the government is refusing to allow migrant workers to come and fill those vacancies. Often those migrant workers come with skills and qualifications that have been obtained at expense of their native country – so we get skilled/qualified workers without having to pay for their training or education.
The current immigration problem is due to the incompetent Tory government, not processing those arriving to determine whether they have a valid claim to come to the UK. Rather than supporting the Tory government in making the immigration situation worse – we should be calling them out for their competence, creating this situation which is of their own making.

uncomfortable truths that nobody wants to hear....
many of the uk's most important sectors are reliant on immigrants in large part because of policy decisions taken by the uk government... this situation cannot be changed easily or quickly
while it is true that immigrants "use resources" they also create demand for uk businesses and contribute to the economy by working and spending money (yes even if they send some of it home)
overcrowding in uk cities is because they are poorly designed or not designed at all
the best way to separate refugees from economic migrants is to establish safe and legal ways for people to apply for asylum... at present no such route exists.
setting an arbitrary target is a stupid thing to do and has led to number-chasing with horrible consequences like windrush

Immigrants already here doing jobs are not the issue. Their employers can change the situation gradually if they have the will to do so.
It is the constant invasion that's pushing numbers up that is the issue. While there is net immigration we have a problem. We are more than full enough already.
Overcrowding is down to the realisation one can not sensibly continue to expand urban areas for evermore, nor create new towns everywhere either. So the real reason for overcrowding is down to population size. Which is why we are already full enough.
I'm sure we have a system for asylum seekers since they are hardly a new phenomenon. However 2 points. We don't really have a need for one at present, as no nation near us are abusing any individual such that they need to come here and then claim asylum. The vast vast number of arrivals here are not asylum seekers (see the first point) but illegal economic migrants. They claiming to be asylum seekers is bogus. In any case, unless impossible to do so, permission to arrive here ought to be applied for in advance of arriving.
Windrush was a single issue with idiocy shown by both arrivals and government. It is unreasonable to use it to assume there is bound to be something similar every time. An aim of zero immigration is a good one, but net emigration would relieve the existing problem.

Its about time the UK government allowed these immigrants to have a job.My firm is screaming out for workers now that Brexit has decimated our workforce.Plenty of orders, not enough staff to process the orders(mainly labouring, manual,no need to be trained jobs).£400 pw in your hand. The locals up here in Aberdeen arent prepared to do a hard days work for a fairs day pay.Crazy.
The diversity that the UK enjoys through its immigrants includes such things as restaurants and shops serving/selling food/drink from around the world. Architecture, fashion and design similarly influenced from around the world. The ability to attend a place of worship of your chosen God; and of course the cultural exchange between peoples of differing backgrounds.
The above diversity benefits come at virtually no cost.

//The reason the immigrants are living in hotels with free board & lodgings is that the incompetent Tory government is failing to process them, and deport those not qualifying to stay here//
What total rubbish. Nothing to do with Labour Leader Starmer and his cronies stymying the deportation process at every stage is it ?
